In Passing explores our complicated interactions with the artifacts, images, and memories of death. The exhibit includes work by professional and nonprofessional artists. Vernacular photography, bags of human remains, objects left behind by persons with no surviving family, satellite galleries in mortuaries, hospices, and casket sellers: all offering glimpses into political, anectdotal and visceral aspects of the very substance and frailty of human life.
